Stratford Attractions

Stratford upon Avon is a lovely town in which to spend a few days. Situated on the River Avon, it is compact enough to wander around and offers lots of choices for sightseeing, shopping, eating and drinking.
William Shakespeare was born and buried in Stratford which is now home to The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) which performs his plays throughout the year. Visit their website at rsc.org.uk

There are five ‘Shakespeare Houses’ to visit:

Organized tours and buses are available or you can stroll around as you wish. Anne Hathaway was Shakespeare’s wife and her picturesque cottage lies in the village of Shottery just outside the town. Mary Arden was Shakespeare’s mother - her house and farm at Wilmcote make a lovely visit and give you the opportunity to see village life and try afternoon tea or a pub lunch.
